Joe has over 25 years of security- and software-engineering experience, mostly working with the U.S. government and Department of Defense, and he served as an intelligence analyst and counterintelligence specialist in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Joe joined LifeLock in 2014 as the principal information security engineer with lead responsibility for penetration testing (hacking exercises) and application security.
Joe has been breaking into systems (and helping secure them) since the early 1980s. More recently he took first place in the 2013 Lockheed Martin Cyber Challenge. He has a bachelor’s degree in cognitive science, a master’s degree in information assurance, and a certificate in identity leadership from the University of Texas at Austin, Center for Identity.
Joe is also a dad whose kids who have been growing up in this new digital age alongside yours.
