High School Student
Isatou is a senior at Franklin High School. She co-founded the UW Upward Bound Junior ambassadors committee, and is currently on principal’s cabinet of her school, using her voice to represent students. She is also secretary of Key Club International at Franklin High School. Isatou is a member of Art of Resistance and Resilience at Franklin High School, and was recently featured in a video after members in the club created a 40 ft long mural in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Seattle chapter of the Black Panther party. Isatou hopes to study public health in college, because of her interest in health equality and wants to further study policymaking in healthcare. Isatou recently joined the cross-country team at her school and was awarded Member of the Week for perseverance. She enjoys volunteering for NHS, MSA and Link crew, along with cooking during her free time.
